where a manhunt is continuing for a suspected terrorist who escaped from a london prison. daniel khalife escaped from wandsworth prison on wednesday morning, by clinging to the underside of a food delivery van. thejustice secretary has ordered an urgent investigation into what happened, and why the former soldier wasn t held in a higher security prison. our reporter simonjones has more. our correspondent simon jones has more from outside wandsworth prison. the manhunt for daniel khalife is very much ongoing this morning. i ve spoken to the metropolitan police who are leading the investigation. they say there has been no breakthrough overnight. so their theory is that by now he could be anywhere in the uk, given the time that has passed since the escape. it was 2a hours ago that this prisoner managed to get out by clinging to the bottom of a van that had gone into the prison to deliver food. it actually sounds like something you might hear in a film, but here it was real ....
