In his Acceptance Speech after being voted as the new Welsh Labour Leader, he highlighted the historic nature of his win. Today, we turn a page in the book of our nations history. A history that we write together. Notjust because i have the honour of becoming the first black leader in any european country, but because a generational dial has jumped too. Like ken and jane, devolution is not something that i have had to get used to, or to adapt to, or to apologise for. Devolution, welsh solutions to welsh problems and opportunities, is in my blood. It is what i have always known through my adult political life and that is the same for a growing number of our citizens and i want us to use this moment as a Starting Point for a more confident march into the future. A march into the future on behalf of a generation that, too often, is being asked to Pick Up The Pieces and the bill for those who came before them. In wales, it often takes the worst times to get the best out of us. In adversity

And doctors are life savers. They are incredible. And we heard a lot in the trial about thinking the unthinkable. And, you know, no one wanted to think that this could be possible, as you heard there in the clip from the father. How could a nurse on a ward do Something Like this . And i think, you know, the manipulation, the fact that she altered records, she was clever, she was calculating, and she pulled the wool over the eyes of her colleagues who did not think everfor a minute that she was responsible. You know, it started with her being an association. She was in the room. She was around a lot. And that raised concerns. But, you know, i dont think anyone actually thought a nurse was operating in plain sight on a ward and in fact, using the most innocuous of materials milk, air, saline, to attack and kill the babies that shes looking after. Tell us a little more, caroline, about what we learned about lucy letby during this trial, because, of course, there was focus on her social me

Princess dianas brother was speaking in an interview to be broadcast tomorrow on the bbc s sunday with laura kuenssberg. Earlier i spoke to graham satchell, who has been reviewing the material in the interview and asked him what the main thrust of earl spencers comments were. Well, this was a searingly honest interview with earl spencer, and at times difficult to watch, to be honest. He has written a book about his experiences of his childhood, particularly at boarding school, and he talks about suffering shocking levels of violence from the age of eight and being sexually abused from the age of 11. He also talks in some detail about his experience at home with his sister, princess diana, and particularly suffering at the hands of a violent nanny, nanny forster. And this is what he had to say. Really damaging violence to children is going to affect them, whatever house they come from, whatever family theyre born into. And that nanny who did that to us, i mean, she used to crack our Hea

Thank you. Thank you for having me. Its a pleasure to have you on the programme. Ambassador, do you have any hope left that talks can achieve a stop or at least a suspension to the war in gaza . I still have hope. And thats what drives me to work harder with all of my colleagues, to succeed in putting an end to this war, to have a ceasefire, and to be able to send humanitarian assistance up to the needs of the people in the gaza strip and to prevent a forced Mass Transfer to egypt. I mean, nobody would doubt that, for the 2 million and more palestinians who live in gaza and of course the 100 or so hostages who are being held in the tunnels in gaza as well, every day is a day of extreme suffering. The problem is, if one looks at the talks and what is being said about the talks, there appears to be very little ground for optimism. For example, the israelis say no way will they even countenance a stop to their Military Operations until hamas provides a full list of those hostages who are
