katy austin has the details. the latest in an series of strikes to effect britain s rail network was meant to be starting tomorrow when members of the rmt union who work for network rail and 1a train companies were due to take part in strikes on saturday, monday and on wednesday. now, they have been called off this afternoon. the rmt says it will enter a period of intense negotiations with the employers, with network rail and the train companies, but crucially the announcement was made so late today that it is too late now to change the timetables back for saturday so there will still be a lot of disruption tomorrow, there will also be a lot of disruption on monday, could be services back to monday on wednesday but passengers are being told to still very much check before they travel over the coming days. why have the strikes been called off? the rmt union says it has secured a commitment from the train companies that they will make them a pay offer but have not done so yet. ....
