Midwest Communications Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has released the name of the victim. He said 34-year-old Joshua Perkins died Monday at 12:05 A.M. from a gunshot to the torso, which caused internal bleeding.
Police have made two arrests in connection with the shooting. 18-year-old Arenza Brown and a 17-year-old juvenile male were arrested on a count each of first degree murder, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and attempted aggravated armed robbery. Brown was placed into Peoria County Jail. The 17-year-old was taken to Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center. The PPD said a total of seven persons of interest have been interviewed. ....
