And one of the things that were pushing the envelope on is trying to look at how we provide for the services for the families. And one of the things that this unique to this development is that we have the campaign for hope sf. And this is a campaign which is whose goal is to raise 25 million for funding of what they would call transformative or disruptive social services for the residents. The goal is to help the city overall do thing better, to find new things, to new services to provide, and to really transform the lives of the residents of today and tomorrow. As the mayor said,

In my opinion, it seems like its nothing but political cronyism, and i think that the west side in general has lost a lot of influence, especially to the progressive supervisors. So, i think that in order for everyone to be fair about it, we should elect our supervisors rather than go through this pattern which seems to be repeating itself over and over. These drivers is to make a profit, these trips are not incidental to the purpose of the driver. And the payment is not truly voluntary when the cost of the trip is not shared equally between the passenger and driver. This is not ride sharing. As i mentioned, the personal Insurance Federation of california says these vehicles arent covered because theyre operating for profit and they only have personal insurance. The use of an app doesnt it shouldnt allow somebody to break the law. I cant sell drugs. I cant run a prostitution ring by having an app. So, this is not an excuse. I shouldnt be able to put a pink mustache on my cab and avoid cab regulations. Lets all play by the same rules. There should be enforcement against this illegal activity. Next speaker. Companies citywide. Right now there are a thousand vehicleses. They heavily promote internally to their drivers to work over time just like a cab company. They also tell them there is no special license or insurance they need in order to work. Theyre operating as Taxi Companies in practice. This really needs to stop. Theyre actively recruiting drivers and defrauding the drivers, putting the traveling public in danger. I have seen many incidents reported on their internal driver lounge on facebook ranging from unreported accidents, bribery, extortion, and up to threats of violence. I heard anecdotal reports there are as many as three people driving under one hired drivers registration with lift. Legal threats by the ceos of lift and side car to individual drivers asking for proof of these socalled extended insurance. Both of these companies claim to have, which side car has none.
