Farmers suspended their Dilli Chalo march for two days after they claimed that a protester was killed and 12 police personnel were injured during clashes at Khanauri border with Haryana
Security measures in the national capital were heightened and strict vigilance at key border points was being maintained following a planned march by protesting farmers towards Delhi on Wednesday.
While the farmers maintain that protests are over the issue of MSP, which is already promised but yet to be fulfilled, the government claims that it needs time as many new demands have been put forward
It will be a multi-pronged impact if the government decides to procure the entire production of 23 crops for which minimum support price (MSP) has been announced, said an official of CRISIL Market Intelligence and Analytics.
