january 6th in less than 24 hours from what is likely to be their final public hearing. that attack on the capitol was fueled by conspiracy theories and lies about the 2020 election. and so far, nobody has been held accountable for telling those lies. but this afternoon, in connecticut courtroom, a jury revealed that someone who spreads lies for a living can be held accountable in a big, big way. conspiracy theorists alex jones, who for years has claimed the sandy hook school shooting was a hoax, made up. today he was ordered to pay almost one billion dollars in damages to the families of eight sandy hook victims. two of those parents who are in the courtroom this afternoon will join the late in the hour. alice, jones he was not just telling folks about sandy hook. the january six committee subpoena jones over his efforts to spread misinformation out the 2020 election as well. the committee highlighted this video of jones during a hearing that took place last summer. it sat
