good morning, everyone. it is saturday, september 16th. i m amara walker. i m victor blackwell. you re in the cnn newsroom. we begin this morning with dangerous weather conditions brought by now post tropical cyclone lee. as necklace starts to feel the impact as new england starts to feel the impact of the storm, boston international airport is experiencing a spike in flight cancellations. so far, 25% of flights leaving boston have been canceled. that is according to flight aware. while the storm is not expected to make landfall in the u.s., the outer bands of the powerful storm are expected to pack strong 50 to 60 mile-an-hour winds and bring storm surges that can cause flooding throughout the new england post. authorities are telling people to prepare to go home and stay there, as the storm pushes north through the day. lee is also expected to cause dangerous rip currents along the atlantic coast, with many states warning people to stay out of the ocean this wee ....

good saturday morning, everyone. welcome to cnn this morning. i m amara walker. i m victor blackwell. good to be with you. we start this morning with dangerous conditions brought on by now post-tropical cyclone lee. the storm is still maintaining those hurricane-force winds, and so far warnings remain in place as lee begins to whip the new england coast, bringing heavy rainfall through cape cod and all the way through maine. though it s not expected to reach the u.s., the outer bands are expected to pack strong winds up to 80 miles an hour and could bring flooding throughout the new england coast. maine has declared a state of emergency, and authorities are warning people to stay inside and prepare to hunker down for the storm. many states are warning people to state out of the water this morning because of dangerous rip currents that could drag people out to see. let s go to allison chincar in the weather center. what are we talking about in terms of impacts? t ....
