Proving someone s intent is one of the harvardest things to do in the law. i think it would be surprising if the federal government brings a prosecution based on what we know now. now, it may be their investigation will uncover something different. but if it doesn t and relies largely on the evidence we ve already seen, then i think federal prosecution is unlikely. i ve been trying to make the case tonight the reason for the anger over this trial for a lot of americans comes from a number of sources. certainly history of racial behavior in this country starting with slavery and jim crow. white people s behavior towards black people to put it bluntly. you have the whole question of profiling and whether george zimmerman went out there with an attitude and because he was an african, he felt he was get and separate all that what happened between these twos gentlemen when the they met that night which is what the jury had to decide. do you have to argue to win a ....

Told you every night as much sympathy as i have for trayvon martin s family, this prosecution was abysmal. it was abysmal for a lot of reasons. i don t understand how the jury could have come and specifically how that jury could have come to any other conclusion. and when people say this is not about race, remember what happened the very first day or second day of jury selection. the judge found that the prosecution was making peremptory challenges based on race. she put two white women back on the jury after they had exercised that challenge. so that tells me that there was a judicial finding that the prosecution was engaging in race, racial profiling themselves. so when they then try to run away from that in the trial, which is what i think they did, there was no other result but a ....

That is the experience that so many young people live with every day. it s an anger that is lived and experienced and it s an anger about people saying, you know, that was me, that could have been me. so now we have got to move to action because we know that we have to honor trayvon by ending racial profiling. i m hoping we are going to see all of the activity that is around the country start to work at the local, state, and federal level to end racial profiling. let me ask you about this possibility of a federal case. there has been 450,000 signatures. i know that at least as of late last night, were collected for the justice department to take action. but you re a civil rights lawyer and you know how high the bar is to prosecute something like this. do you see a case? i do see a case. i think part of our confusion about whether or not there should be a case is that the ....
