let s please pray that we don t ever need to ask that question again, so that we don t have another situation of a president engaged in conduct that causes him to be indicted for criminality. please, let s hope this is a one-off. but to your point, there is nothing wrong with a question, other than i hope we never have to ask it. the situation we are seeing now is being described this way by nyu law professor stephen gillers, who as you know, is an expert on judicial matters. and what he is saying is that the rule of recusal says, he says the rule says the judge should not sit when we can t fairly ask the public to trust what the judge does. and professor gillers maintains that this is one of these situations where judge cannon must recuse. there s the proper recusal rule, and within the 11th circuit, there s also a sort of hygienic [laughter] proposal that allows to be reassigned if it doesn t look like they re the right judge for a particular matter, without having to go all ....
