Telugu Titans registered a much-needed victory, defeating Tamil Thalaivas 33-28 in the fifth Pro Kabaddi League on Thursday.
Sombir had a stellar performance in defence and scored 10 points to lead his team to victory.
It was the Titans’ defence that scored almost half their points. Both teams were in search of a desperate win after a disappointing campaign so far.
Telugu Titans have lost eight games so far whereas Tamil Thalaivas have been defeated four times.

Star raider Rohit Kumar and defender Ravinder Pahal were named as captain and vice-captain respectively of the Bengaluru Bulls for the fifth season of the Pro-Kabaddi League.
After putting up a stellar show of grit and determination in the preceding seasons; Bengaluru Bulls announced the line-up of a young and dynamic squad for the upcoming season of Pro Kabaddi league starting July 28th.

The Pro Kabaddi league which is into its fifth season since inception has made the prize money more lucrative by doubling its consolidated prize money to Rs eight crore. The league shall kick off from July 28 in Hyderabad. This is a massive increment in the prize money from the Rs two crore earmarked for Season 4 of the league.
