New Delhi [India], January 13 (ANI): India has postponed its pulse polio immunisation drive, scheduled for January 17 as part of the National Polio Eradication Programme, due to unforeseen activities, the Union Health Ministry informed on Wednesday. This is with reference to the letter noT-13012/0112020-lmm dated on 19.11.2020 regarding the scheduled date of Polio NID round. In this regard, this is to inform that due to unforeseen activities, it is decided to postpone the scheduled Polio NID round from 17th January 2021till further notice, read the notice issued by Advisor on Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Pradeep Halder.

New Delhi: The Union health ministry has informed states and union territories that they are likely to receive the first supply of Covid-19 vaccine shortly and asked them to be prepared to accept these consignments.
In a communique, the ministry said vaccine will be supplied to the identified consignee points of 19 states and union territories Telangana, AP, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal by the supplier.

The vaccine for remaining 18 states and union territories Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Daman and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Sikkim, Tripura and Uttarakhand will be received from their respective government medical store depots.
