The 2024 Yellowhorse Powwow Celebration took place at Founder s Hall in Collegedale last weekend on April 6 and 7. Powwows are an inter-tribal gathering that keep Native American culture alive through dance competitions, traditional clothing and adornment, food, crafts, music and ritual. The Yellowhorse event is sponsored by the Collegedale Tomorrow Foundation and Native American Services, a local organization dedicated to preserving Native American history and culture in Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.
