Registered sex offender arrested for child porn in Kent Tyler Williams (Source: Kent police) By Julia Bingel | May 7, 2021 at 2:22 PM EDT - Updated May 7 at 3:04 PM KENT, Ohio (WOIO) - A 29-year-old registered sex offender is back in jail after Kent police said they found child pornography images at his home. Kent police detectives and the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Tyler Williams’ home in the 900 block of S. Lincoln Street on May 6. According to a sheriff’s report, the deputy responded to 32-year-old Heather R. Crossen’s home for a welfare check after an acquaintance of Crossen’s reported she sent him a text message that concerned him during the early evening Nov. 26. According to a complaint that the sheriff’s office filed in Portage County Municipal Court in Ravenna, while the deputy was at the home, Crossen allegedly tried to grab a knife from a butcher’s block to attack him with it. No injuries were reported and Crossen was arrested and taken to Portage County Jail. Crossen pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to third-degree felony attempted assault and first-degree misdemeanor child endangerment involving a 2-year-old girl in the home, according to court records. The felony charge was amended down from first-degree felony assault as part of a plea deal. ....
Alliance Police database for April 2 The Alliance Review ARIEL LYNN WAGNER, 28, of 3513 Azalea Ave., Apt. 33, in Canton, was arrested at 9:40 a.m. March 29, 2021, in the 200 block of East State Street in Alliance. Police say Wagner was arrested after a report from Aultman Alliance Community Hospital of an assault. The report says Aultman staff indicated Wagner had spit in the face of a member of the nursing staff. The staff further reported to police that Wagner had stated that she later would return to the hospital to blow it up. Wagner was served with a medical release form at the hospital and advised she was being charged with assault, a fifth-degree felony; and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor. She was advised of a court date on April 5 in Alliance Municipal Court. ....
Portage County middle school track coach charged with importuning (Source: WALB) By Julia Bingel | December 30, 2020 at 2:08 PM EST - Updated December 30 at 2:26 PM PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A 27-year-old school coach was arrested for trying to meet a teenager on social media with the intent to sexually harm them, according to the Portage County Sheriff. Court documents show Tyler Coia attempted to meet a 14-year-old via Snapchat. It is not clear if the 14-year-old was a male or a female. Coia, of Ravenna, pleaded not guilty to one count of importuning at his arraignment on Dec. 29 and is out on a $25,000 bond. ....
