Four persons, including a nurse at Moolchand hospital and another employee at IHBAS, have been arrested for allegedly stealing Remdesivir injections and selling them at ₹70,000 each.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Guriqbal Singh Sidhu said the accused have been identified as Lalitesh (24), a nurse at Moolchand Hospital, Vipul Verma, record clerk at IHBAS, Vishal Kashyap, and Shubham.
Acting on a tip-off, a trap was laid near Haiderpur Bus Stand and Vipul was arrested. Other three were held subsequently.
Lalitesh was deployed in the COVID ward of the hospital and used to procure unused Remdesivir injections of patients after they would get discharged. She would show that they have been used. ....

Two men have been arrested for their alleged involvement in black marketing oxygen concentrators an equipment used to treat COVID patients the police said on Sunday.
The accused have been identified as Anuj Minda (41), a resident of Ashok Vihar, and Gurmeet Singh (36) from Rohini, they said.
The accused charged ₹1.65 lakh for an oxygen concentrator against its actual price of ₹31,000.
On Saturday, Bharat Juneja from Kalkaji Extension, called the Ashok Vihar police station, saying his wife and mother were COVID positive and in a critical condition when he purchased an oxygen concentrator from Minda at ₹1.45 lakh. An ambulance driver has been arrested for allegedly charging ₹14,000 to ferry the body of a COVID-19 victim from the hospital to the crematorium, the police said on Sunday.
Kandhi Lal was charging the exorbitant amount to ferry the patient for a distance of 6 km, they said. On Saturday after receiving a tip-off about the driver, the police laid a trap. “Constable Mahesh called the driver and asked him to ferry the body of a COVID patient to Nigam Bodh Ghat from NuLife Hospital. The ambulance driver said it would cost him ₹14,000 and sent a slip to give the money,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Guriqbal Singh Sidhu.
