The State Police Association of Massachusetts, or SPAM, Election Committee reported that Brian Williams had won election as the association’s president. He will replace Patrick McNamara, who had served as president for two years.
“The world is a better place for having Greg in it,” Gregory Furtado's obituary said. “He will be sorely missed by all that knew him as well as all of the people and lives he helped to better as a trooper.”
Sgt. Gregory Furtado, 41, graduated from the Massachusetts State Police Academy in 2006 and was assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney s Office detective unit.
