A music teacher at the Balachadi Sainik school near Jamnagar was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two 12-year-old male students. The arrest was made after the school principal filed a complaint with the Jodiya police station. The 39-year-old teacher, a native of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, was hired by the school on an outsourced basis as a bandmaster. He was booked under IPC Sections 504, 506(2), and POCSO Act following the complaint filed by principal Shreyash Mehta.
A criminal named Lalu Saw was arrested in Chatra for carrying 2.7kg opium valued at Rs 15 lakh along with a pistol, five bullets, and a motorcycle. The arrest was made based on a tip-off received by the police team led by SP Vikas Kumar Pandey. Lalu was wanted in multiple cases related to NDPS Act, Arms Act, murder, dacoity, and snatching in Chatra.
