A music teacher at the Balachadi Sainik school near Jamnagar was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two 12-year-old male students. The arrest was made after the school principal filed a complaint with the Jodiya police station. The 39-year-old teacher, a native of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, was hired by the school on an outsourced basis as a bandmaster. He was booked under IPC sections 504, 506(2), and the POCSO Act following the complaint filed by principal Shreyash Mehta. According to the police, the boys studying in class 7, reported to the principal that the teacher had inappropriately touched them. He also threatened the boys with dire consequences if they resisted or revealed the incident to anyone. The sexual assaults reportedly took place between May 9 and May 12.

Police Arrest Coaching Centre Owner After Finding 555 Students During Raid
Prior to his arrest, Sankhalva told reporters that the students had been staying in his hostel with parental consent since May 15.

A coaching centre owner in Gujarat s Rajkot district s Jasdan town was arrested on Monday for allegedly violating COVID-19 norms after cops found more than 550 students in his premises during a search, according to police.
The raid occurred on Sunday, and its owner, 39-year-old Jaysukh Sankhalva, was arrested on Monday, according to Rajkot Superintendent of Police Balram Meena. He was arrested under IPC and Epidemic Diseases Act provisions for disobeying police notification on COVID-19 norms as well as for negligent act which may spread infection. The children have been handed over to their parents, he said.
