A statement that it was an internal Technology Issue that lasted for about two hours before the registers were up and running again. But its saturday. Kids out of school. Families want to shop. And the registers didnt work. Video posted on social media shows customers in long lines at target stores waiting to pay but not moving. This was shot in oregon, same story in milwaukee where people were frustrated wondering why any couldnt check out. In sacramento one woman heard the answer. There was an overhead page said all the systems were down in target and nobody can buy anything. Some people abandoned red carts and freebies. Before coming to the store. Reports outage i took their word that it was coming up. In a statement target said the outage lasted two hours. The result of an internal technology problem. Adding, after an initial but throe review we can confirm this was not a data breach or security related issue. And no guest information was compromised. Were you able to buy anything.
The sea breeze kept our temperatures cooler yesterday. Yesterday was the coolest day well see so far this week. Today a little bit warmer, but thats going to set us up for even hotter temperatures ahead. We have the High Pressure thats going to start to dry us out today and i did bring down the temperatures just a little bit compared to where it had been yesterday morning because the models right now were trending a little too warm. I brought them down into the upper 70s, concord 82, so as far as the main temperature difference, i would say two to three degrees. Not a huge rise in temperatures but again, by tomorrow and into tuesday, were tracking again that High Pressure, where well be seeing 80s and 90s again.
