Thousands of Northern Victorian road users now have a safer and more reliable journey thanks to vital maintenance works as part of the Andrews Labor Government’s annual road maintenance blitz.
At Strathallan, a $1.75 million project to rebuild a two-kilometre stretch of the Northern Highway is now complete with crews creating a smoother, more durable road.
The Northern Highway caters to more than 5,500 vehicles per day, serving as a critical freight route between Bendigo and Echuca, along with thousands of tourists travelling to the Echuca-Moama area yearly for holidays.
Further north-east, works are also set to begin this month on a $500,000 maintenance blitz project in Kerang – estimated for completion in June, weather permitting. ....
