Readers are upset about the racism incident in the Aledo ISD, question Dan Patrick’s leadership, talk about the candidates in Dallas Districts 13 and 14 and say we needed an exit strategy for Afghanistan.

More could be done
Re: “Fountain could overwhelm Klyde Warren Park needs a water feature, but one that’s sensible, sustainable,” by Mark Lamster, Sunday Arts & Life column.
Let me first say I think such a gesture is great. I just think there is so much more that could be done. First, move the fountain to the deck park being planned by the zoo in Oak Cliff. Second, build on the opportunity like Kansas City, Mo., has with its City of Fountains Foundation to support the care and maintenance of Dallas’ historic and donated public assets.
