A fight is brewing over how a new ambulance contract should look in the county. One that has been taken off the table is the possibility of a Public Private partnership. At 5 00 p. M. Starts now. Known for its views of the bay but today it became a crime scene. Henry lee is here with more. Reporter a bicyclist was riding down the road about 6 30 a. M. This morning when there was something lying on the side of the road. It turned out to be a mans body. Reporter minutes later officers arrived and confirmed a man in his 20s had been shot. He was found on the side of the road. Although violence in the hills is rare, it is not immune to body dump cases in which victims are shot somewhere else before their bodies are dumped in the hill. The bullet casings suggest the victim had been shot at that location. Neighbors said they were surprised by the violence given the neighborhood is not known for shootings or homicides. Wanted a confrontation with police. He needed help. The 23yearold philip watkins, her daughters fiance was shot and killed in front of her outside watkins mothers help in san jose. Buchanan was here when he stopped by. He was distraught and said he was unhappy, he was sad, he didnt feel like things were going right in his life and. He didnt know if he wanted to live. She said watkins called 911 himself. According to San Jose Police the call mentioned an intruder with a myself and when they arrived the subject charged at them with the weapon. They opened fire.
