Is if the Cedar Rapids Public Library see additional funds. The library wants voters to approve a levy of 27 cents for one thousand dollars of the assessed taxable valuation of a home. That would cost the owner of a cedar rapids home valued at 150 thousand dollars an extra 23 dollars a year. This levy would raise an estimated onepointsix Million Dollars each year for the library. Board members say if they dont get the funding, the library could close one day a week. Also on the ballot in cedar rapids are those vying for the atlarge and district candidates for city council.
