In his welcome address, Dr. Pewezo Khalo, DPO RCH/UIP, highlighted the aims of the training to the participants. Dakshata, which means ‘adroitness or dexterity,’ is a strategy to strengthen and provide quality care services during and after childbirth through skilled healthcare providers, stated an update from the CMO office. The main aim of the training was to train the healthcare workers to provide quality service to the mother and child during delivery with an objective to reduce maternal and child mortality during childbirth in all the health Units.
