DIMAPUR Drug Control Cell (DCC) under the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Phek, conducted a sensitisation and awareness programme for pharmacists on Friday in the conference hall of the CMO’s office in Phek town. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Pewezo Khalo, DPO RCH/UIP, Phek, wherein he appealed to the entire members present to adhere with the government notification so as not to violate the Acts and Rules. An update from the CMO’s office stated that K Limasenla Longchar, drugs control officer, Phek, highlighted the various categories of drugs with special emphasis on schedule H, H1 and X drugs and the maintenance of records and registers as required under Drugs and Cosmetic Acts 1940 and Rules 1945.
