Development to straddle river

Deur Yaseen Gaffar 01 Februarie 2021 06:21 Residents have expressed concern that high concrete walls built along the boundary of Hathersage Farm by the City of Cape Town to protect the area from flooding makes it unreasonable that a development should take place here.Photo: Yaseen Gaffar Developers of Hathersage Farm in Somerset West have proposed to develop a further 157 erven and 75 apartments on the three portions of land – of which the environmental impact assessment (EIA) by Guillaume Nel Environmental Consultants is now open for public comment until next Monday (1 February). A second round of the public participation process and submission of the second draft Basic Assessment Report is expected to open in March and close in April.
