Mask wearers were everywhere on Bergenline Avenue in West New York Tuesday afternoon.
They were waiting for buses, heading to appointments, checking out stores, and they far outnumbered their bare-faced counterparts.
Perhaps the word hadn’t gotten out yet that the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had loosened guidelines surrounding mask wearing outdoors. Fully vaccinated individuals can go maskless outside unless they are in large crowds, and unvaccinated people can do the same in certain situations, the federal agency advised Tuesday. ....
