prime minister at her balmoral home in scotland next week, not in london, breaking meanwhile the final hustings to choose that prime minister either liz truss or rishi sunak is under way at wembley. russia has completely stopped gas supplies to europe through a major pipeline. it says maintenance work is needed on nord stream one for three days. it s a key pipeline which carries gas from russia into europe. it runs from western russia, under the baltic sea into europe via germany. russia s state owned energy company gazprom has already significantly reduced its gas exports through this route. nord stream 1 has been operating at just 20% capacity because of what russia describes as faulty equipment. bear in mind that last year russia supplied the european union with 40% of its gas needs. for the uk it was 4%. and in recent months it s dropped to zero. but a fall in supply from russia has led to energy price rises everywhere because countries have to compete for a limit ....

for the second time in a week, nasa has called off its attempt to launch a powerful rocket part of a mission aimed at eventually putting humans back on the moon. the artemis rocket was due to blast off in the past hour but technical problems forced the team to call for another postponement. here s nasa s administrator bill neilson. the mission management team is meeting this afternoon. they re going to look at it. they re going to see is there still a possibility now or are they going to have to roll back into the vehicle assembly building? if they decide that s the case, then it ll be an october launch. and october, i would say, although the window opens in early, i suspect it ll be more like the middle, because remember the first week of october, we ve got another crew. it s an international crew, two international participants on the crew of four that are going to the international space station. our science correspondentjonathan amos is at the kennedy space cent ....

hello and welcome if you re watching in the uk or around the world. nasa tried and failed again on saturday to get its space launch system vehicle to lift off from florida s kennedy space center. the countdown had to be halted because of a fuel leak the second postponement in a week. the artemis programme aims to return humans to the moon in 2025, but the nasa team have suggested that there may now be a significant delay to the project. our science editor, rebecca morelle, gave us the latest from kennedy space center, in florida. there is a real sense of disappointment here but the problems started early on, and when the rocket was being fuelled, a large hydrogen leak was spotted, and this is not a good thing. the team tried to fix it three times but their troubleshooting did not work and the loach was stopped. over the last few hours, they have been poring over the data to find out what went wrong and they have announced the rocket will need significant repair work. ....
