how is it going, sir? peachy. i, still, am flummoxed by um the misinformation over the vaccine. people refusing to get vaccinated. and also, refusing to wear masks. um, every day, seems like it gets worse. and i don t mean that. i am talking about the people who are dying, who are actually coming down with it. especially, the children. if you saw martin savidge s report tonight. just heartbreaking. people who are seen with significant cases and hospitalizations are getting younger. part of the metric here is ignorance. but part of it is, also, arrogance. this misplaced sense of righteous indignation and resistance that they believe is a false manifestation of freedom. this is not an issue of freedom. of course, you ever the freedom to make choices about your own body. let s put to the side the irony that so many of these people don t want to afford that freedom to women. but what we re saying is, does it mean it s the right choice? and these suggestions. uh, ....
you want to truth? here s the truth. we ve got a long way to go with this pandemic. it s not going to be over soon. our fall is going to be screwed up, and there is fault in that. we made ourselves sick. it is our denial, it is our division. wear a mask. no. cases and deaths skyrocket. take the vaccine. waves of people do. the virus abates. but then rebounds. why? because there was a population that refused to get it. variants came as predicted. cases go again, up, up, up, forcing what? what they re telling us now. now it s a different form of the virus. things changed. it s how science work, right? facts, analysis, knowledge. now you ve got to maskup. so, the same people who refused the vaccine and refused the mask before it are now refusing to mask again. now, here s where i m about to qualify my statement because i know i know what you re doing right now. i know you re rolling your heads, what are you talking at me for? i know. there is a new we. they are the vac ....

there should be no surprise that the gop voted tonight to put the country in crisis, blocking a bill to suspend the debt limit and avert a government shutdown. they re playing americans for fools. fools who might believe that refusing to raise the debt ceiling is a way to keep democrats from their spending aims, which by the way, are a laundry list of exactly what you said you ve wanted overwhelmingly in the polls. but this is not a way to stop spending going forward, okay? it is yet another blow to america s viability. when you mess with the debt ceiling, you mess with the strength of this economy. mitch mcconnell knows that. that s why this is what he said last week. we all agree america must never default. the debt ceiling will need to be raised. don t play russian roulette with our economy. step up and raise the debt ceiling to cover all that you ve been engaged in all year long. okay. that was last week. now, today. we will not provide republican votes for ra ....
