After working through the night and into Saturday morning, Comal County Sheriff’s Office investigators said the body discovered Friday evening is the Spring Branch woman reported missing on July 19.
Democratic party chairs in Comal and Guadalupe counties are maintaining optimism despite the likelihood they’ll be able to muster any candidates for local positions in next March’s party primaries.
A 38-year-old New Braunfels man was killed Thursday night after his motorcycle veered into oncoming State Highway 46 traffic after a collision with another vehicle, police said.
David Ferguson, city communications coordinator, said New Braunfels police and fire units were called to the intersection of State Highway 46 West and Oak Run Point around 5:45 p.m.
âA nearby Comal County Sheriffâs Office deputy quickly arrived and immediately began lifesaving measures,â Ferguson said. âHowever, the driver of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries as police and paramedics arrived.â
Ferguson said the New Braunfels Police Department Traffic Unit began an accident reconstruction investigation.
According to one resident, New Braunfels police said the Champions Village subdivision never registered a bleep on the cityâs crime monitor.
âYou could count the numbers of crimes on one hand â minus some fingers,â he said.
That was until Thursday, when police said a mother shot and killed her 10-year-old son and wounded her 16-year-old daughter before turning the gun on herself.Â
âI knew the mother and her children â weâre very, very sad,â said the manâs wife, adding over 15 years the couple had come to know the family living in a residence in the 500 block of Wilderness Way, where first-responders encountered a grisly scene just before 10 a.m.
