What are the best high schools in New York state? U.S. News and World Report has released its 2021 rankings of nearly 24,000 public high schools nationwide, including 1,281 schools in the Empire State.
Five schools in Central New York made the top 100, led by New Hartford Senior High School for the third year in a row. New Hartford ranked No. 67 across the state with a 100% graduation rate and a 59.2 college readiness score.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A Staten Island public high school is the third best in New York state, according to a new ranking.
WalletHub a personal finance website released its list of the best public high schools in New York state for 2021. Staten Island Technical High School in New Dorp ranked third.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY Northwell Health is offering free COVID-19 testing exclusively for Port Washington residents at the Port Washington Adult Activity Center in response to an uptick in post-holiday COVID-19 infections, according to Port Washington Schools Superintendent Michael Hynes. As the virus remains an increasing threat in our community, it s crucial for residents to understand that if they need a test, one is available, Hynes wrote in an open letter to the school community Tuesday.
