On the ramps and path way of the trail. A lot of people look like theyre homeless. Buying drugs from each other. Its become a known hot spot. If r heroin use. With use used needles on the collected so far this year. Including those dropped in a disposal box nearby. Denver as well as other places across the country. Are noticing a huge epidemic. Denver parks and reck is now issuing a temporary directive. Allowing police to give out 90 day park suspensions. Banning anyone caught buying. Selling or using drugs for 3 months. Violaters of that suspension and close to a thousand dollars in fines. Its one piece of a puzzle. As the city tackles growing concern. Over drug use. And homelessness. From the 16 street mall. To makeshift camps and city parks. The new effort hopes to target drug dealers. And offer assistance
