MIDDLEBORO With the passing on Feb. 1, 2021, of Norman E. Record at age 93, a part of Middleboro s history passed with him. Record was a Korean War veteran and a well-known member of the police department.
Members of his family contacted former veterans service officer Paul Provencher and sought his assistance in possibly getting a sign designating the Four Corners area the intersections of Center, North Main, South Main and Wareham streets   as Patrolman Norman E. Record Corners.
Provencher in turn contacted the Middleboro Board of Selectmen for approval of the family request. The board submitted the idea for a town meeting vote. ....
