Democrats be worrying? just 32% of americans approve of the president s handling of the economy. 63% disapprove. a whopping 85% expect the country to be in a recession next year. with me now, larry glazer, kristin hahn and patrice with the independent woman s forum. patrice, i ll start with you. there s a dark cloud, a dark malaise over this nation that we haven t felt in decades. it s true, charles. i mean, when 85% of americans are saying in polling that the country is heading in the wrong direction, this tells you something. inflation is a top issue, top of mind. that s going to portend trouble for democrats in the mid-terms when you consider right now they have an enthusiasm gap that is favoring republicans. when you senior likely voters, more republicans are enthusiastic to come out to the polls in november compared to democrats. it s a 17-point gap. that will be very hard to make up especially if gas prices and ....
