History, yet it can be easy to forget that all the horror, reaction, discussion, and coverage, for all the trials of people that stormed the capitol and the convictions of seditionists there was no coup probe of indictment for years. The man who led the january 6th rally, impeached for inciting an insurrection, that man, two years after those events, the person at the center of it all was not facing a serious coup probe let alone charges. Reporting shows quite the opposite. Not only was he not facing that, but the fbi and doj avoiding investigating trump for optics and review of the evidence. We all know that.
