returning to our breaking news, the latest step in the process and latest figure attorney john eastman in a process which will be unfolding all week, the surrender of 19 codefendants, including the former president, at atlanta s fulton county courthouse. what are you learning about eastman? reporter: anderson, we learned that he is expected to surrender on wednesday. while he is not the most well known name among these 19 defendants, it s significant that this is the first one of former president trump s 18 codefendants who we know will surrender. we have a date. we know today his legal team negotiated a $100,000 bond agreement with the fulton county district attorney. and now he will turn himself in on wednesday. now, it s notable that this date came out in a separate
trump s surrender and for his arraignment, that first court appearance. now, it s possible that trump and his codefendants will never have to show up in person for that first court appearance, because a judge could arraign them virtually or even waive the right to that arraignment. really a big question mark here if that happens. thank you so much. so many steps that are about to take place as early as next week. with me now to talk about the trump georgia case, is michael meers, a professor at atlanta s john marshal law school. this is remarkable. while we heard from the fulton county sheriff who says trump will be treated like everybody else, but what we saw in new york and in florida, trump was not subjected to a mugshot or
it was months ago, so people are sometimes really not expecting this. officials are asking them to please prepare. pay attention to the warnings. thank you so much. with less than a week now to turn himself in at the fulton county jail in atlanta, georgia, sources now tell cnn that former president trump is expected to surrender on thursday or friday. he and 18 codefendants are charged with plotting to subvert the 2020 election results in georgia. fulton county district attorney fani willis has set friday, august 25th as the deadline for the defendants to surrender. trump s arrest will likely look different from his previous three criminal cases. local officials have said they will treat the former president like any other defendant. isabel rosales is outside the fulton county jail. what more do we know about
