Leigh Road is set to close to all vehicles overnight later this month. A public notice from Dorset Council said: “All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Leigh Road, Wimborne between Parmiter Drive and Gordon Road, a distance of approximately 330 metres. “The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. “It will come into operation between 8pm and 6am on April 26, 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State if necessary, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by May 1. ....
