Commissioners were told construction could begin this summer on the site, which may require environmental remediation as it is the former location of a sprawling Teledyne Continental Motors manufacturing complex. The plans for the long-vacant “Harbor 31” property across Shoreline Drive from downtown include single-family and duplex residences that developer Dan Henrickson said would be the first to be developed. $110M Muskegon Lake development proposed for land that was eyed for casino near downtown Updated Jan 06, 2021; Facebook Share MUSKEGON, MI – A $110 million residential and commercial development has been proposed for a prime piece of Muskegon Lake property that was being reserved for a casino that never materialized. An updated “planned unit development” proposal for the “Harbor 31” property off Shoreline Drive near downtown recently was approved by the Muskegon Planning Commission.
