１日には、50代の男性会社員のボランティアが運転する車両が、東京都内の首都高速道路で車２台に立て続けに追突し、当て逃げをした。
午後６時ごろ、首都高速11号台場線出入口（港区）から湾岸線葛西臨海公園（江戸川区）に向かっていた神奈川在住の男性が運転する大会ロゴ入りのワゴン車が高速道路の壁に複数回、激突した。その後、前を走っていたトラックと軽ワゴン車に相次いでぶつかり、その場から立ち去った。ワゴン車は高速の側壁への衝突を繰り返しながら、そのまま首都高を数十キロ走行。追突された車両２台から通報があり、高速を出たところで千葉県警の警察官に止められ、職務質問を受けた。軽ワゴンに乗っていた都内在住の50代と20代の女性２人がケガをして、病院に搬送された。
