worried that health care costs will skyrocket. overnight, the obama administration released new numbers on what the law will cost consumers. they say six in ten americans may be able to find coverage more less than $100 a month. and premiums nationwide, will be about 16% lower than originally expected. the most important thing, obviously, just to get people enrolled in this. reporter: many of the health care law s elements are already in effect. children can remain on their parents insurance until they re 26. and those with pre-existing conditions are guaranteed coverage. but republicans aren t sold. on the senate floor, a marathon speech by ted cruz, in defunding obama care. i m going to venture to say most members of the united states senate are at home in bed asleep. while america lives the nightmare. reporter: senator cruz and others are threatening to shut down the government in order to defund obama care. but the administration indicates those health exchanges
