View of the tanker as it spilled gasoline all over that road. Nbc 10 learned around 8 30 tonight the tankers driver lost control of the truck and it turned on its side, spilling 4,000 gallons of gasoline. Now, this wreck involved two other cars, we know five other people were hurt, they have minor injuries. One of the drivers is at abington hospital and when we first arrived we saw firefighters and police redirecting traffic as route 611 is shut down for hazmat crews. We also saw them working with a bunch of homeowners in the nearby area. We spoke to the fire chief, heres what he had to say five minutes ago. Weve evacuated some of the nearby residents to a nearby school and the situation is stabiliz stabilized. Weve called a Hazmat Company to clean up the leak from the accident. We expect route 611 to be closed down for several hours, probably somewhere in the area of six to nine hours. Reporter there you go.
