PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has recorded 1,870 Covid-19 cases and six deaths in the past 24 hours.
Johor recorded the highest number of cases for the first time with 607 infections.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 745 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 87,460.

In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 110,485.
There are 22,562 active cases with 131 patients in intensive care, of which 62 require respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the six deaths bring the toll to 463.
The six deaths involved five Malaysians and one foreigner each from Sabah, Selangor and Johor. They were aged between 45 and 69 and all except the foreigner had pre-existing conditions.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 The Ministry of Health said today it has recorded 1,870 new Covid-19 infections, with Johor topping the list at 607, bringing the total number of infections in Malaysia to 110,485 cases.
Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this leaves the number of active cases still being treated at 22,562.
“Of today’s cases, two are import cases in which the infection occurred abroad, while the remaining 1,868 occurred domestically,” he said in a statement.

PUTRAJAYA: The health ministry has reported 1,594 Covid-19 cases and three deaths in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 1,181 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 85,592.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 106,690.

There are 20,643 active cases with 116 patients being treated in intensive care and 53 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the three deaths brings the toll to 455.
All the three deaths involved Malaysians – a 62-year-old woman and a 90-year-old man from Selangor, and a 62-year-old man from Sabah. All three had pre-existing conditions.
