(KPLC) - McNeese softball got offensive production throughout its lineup here Wednesday night and used a four-run fourth inning on its way to a 7-1 win over Louisiana Tech. McNeese (18-19) outhit La. Tech (13-16) 9-5 and got at least one hit from eight different players along with solid pitching from Saleen Flores and Ashley Vallejo who combined to pick up the win. Toni Perrin led McNeese at the plate with a 2 for 4 plate appearance, three stolen bases, and scored two runs. ....

Louisiana defeated the McNeese St. Cowgirls, 5-4, in a non-conference contest in Lake Charles. Justice Milz launched a three-run home run in the top half of the 6th inning to help lift Louisiana to the come-from-behind victory. The triumph was the second in as many tries against McNeese for the Cajuns this season, after an 8-7 extra-innings win over the Cowgirls last Wednesday at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.
