The University named Peter Schiffer the new dean for research — a position that entails working “closely with the provost and other University leaders to develop and support Princeton’s dynamic research community.” Schiffer, a professor at Yale will succeed Pablo Debenedetti who has held the position for over a decade.
Schiffer is a professor of applied physics and physics at Yale University and the director for strategic projects at Yale’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He will also join Princeton's Department of Physics as a professor.
