China is set to launch its robotic spacecraft Chang'e-6 on Friday (May 3) which will make a round trip and collect samples from the far side of the moon.
Chang'e-6, which is made using the backup spacecraft from the 2020 mission, will gather rocks and soil from the region that has stayed away from the earth's view permanently.
The Chinese spacecraft will rely on the relay satellite that has been recently deployed and in its 53-day mission is orbiting the moon. ....

In the face of strong competition from local rivals, the international ride-hailing giant Uber has officially halted its operations in Pakistan. This decision follows its withdrawal from several major cities in 2022.
"Our subsidiary brand, Careem, will continue operations offering ride-hailing services across Pakistan," the spokesperson said, reported Press Trust of India.
Back in 2019, Uber purchased its competitor Careem for a sum of USD 3.1 billion.
Both companies said they would keep running their own services with their own names. ....
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar was appointed as the country’s deputy prime minister on Sunday (Apr 28) with “immediate effect,” said a notification issued by the Cabinet Division.
‘Immediate effect’
According to the notification, Dar, 73, was appointed by Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his new role “with immediate effect and until further orders”.
The Pakistan foreign minister is a chartered accountant and a veteran politician who is a part of Shehbaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party. ....
