Paul Niedzwiecki will take over as chief executive officer of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce from outgoing CEO Wendy K. Northcross on July 1.
Ms. Northcross, who is the recent winner of the 2021 Mercy Otis Warren Cape Cod Woman of the Year, is leaving at the end of June after 24 years with the chamber.
Mr. Niedzwiecki is a resident of West Barnstable and is a public policy professional and attorney. He is no stranger to being in public roles on the Cape. For more than 11 years, he served as the executive director of the Cape Cod Commission, from 2007 to 2018. He has also been a vice president at Cape Cod Healthcare, a role he held from May 2019 until August 2020.

BARNSTABLE The Barnstable County Board of Regional Commissioners, in partnership with Tales of Cape Cod, has named Wendy Northcross of West Barnstable as the 2021 Mercy Otis Warren Cape Cod Woman of the Year for making a significant positive impact in our region.
Northcross, the longtime CEO of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and a local business and community activist, received three nominations from Peter Scarafile, Dorothy Savarese, and Elaine Bono.
In his nomination letter, Peter Scarafile stated, With her strong work ethic and endless hours as a volunteer, she has left her mark on our community. Truly Wendy has made a difference in the lives of the people of Cape Cod, and she is an excellent candidate for the Mercy Otis Warren Cape Cod Woman of the Year Award.
