And it went thud and the house shook. Wind and rain in the Oakland Hills this morning yankeesed the large pine from the house to its roots and sent it crashing off to the driveway and part of her house. Rushed. Rushed all over the place because the tree was laying there. Hi had to climb over all of the brush to get out. It snapped trees. Floodwaters snapped down three lanes of highway 101 causing a messy traffic jam. Back in Oakland Hills, they are still without power tonight. She says she feels lucky.
