Time hosting, a quick background note. Im a professor and i am involved in Community Organizing and labor organizing. In the past i have informally advised the fast food worker efforts, which is why this morning im especially eager to dive into our lead story on the growing fast food striker movement which this week went global. On this thursday hundreds of employees of at least 17 fast food chains across the country walked out on their jobs calling for a wage increase to 15 an hour and the right to unionize without retaliation. This is not enough money to be working for 8 an hour. If i have to come twice, third time, five time, im going to be here. Zble want common respect. We want the ability to unionize without anything coming back to harming our families. We have to make a change. From los angeles to pittsburgh to chicago to new orleans, workers raised the call to fight for 15 in cities across the country. And the American Workers werent alone. They were part of a worldwide protest
