. welcome to cnn news central. wolf blitzer is in tel aviv. the agreement has been reached to extend the israel-hamas truce by two days. since friday, 58 hostages have been released by hamas in exchange for 117 palestinian prisoners and detainees in israeli custody. today was supposed to be the fourth and final day of releases. but qatar says the agreement has been extended. the white house just confirming that hamas will release 20 additional hostages over the next two days. and brianna, there s a major caveat. this extension will only take effect, only take effect once today s releases are complete. earlier there were significant delays over today s list of hostages. we re now told, by the way, by israeli officials, that they have the final list of women and children set for release and have notified their families. we re tracking this across the region right now. cnn s oren lieberman is with me in tel aviv. the border crossing, jeremy, there were talks on two fronts. t
welcome to c cnn newsroom, everyone, i m michael holmes. the israeli government now has the names of the hostages who will be freed by hamas on sunday, day three of the delicately poised truce between hamas and israel. that s after day two of the four-day truce came to a rocky but successful conclusion late on saturday, with the release of 13 israelis and four thai nationals who had been kidnapped by militants on october 7th. after preliminary medical checks, they were all whisked away to israeli hospitals for care and to be reunited with their families. israel s health ministry said one woman, 21-year-old maya regev, was treated for an injury and is in stable condition. 9-year-old emily hand, whose father had initially been told she died in the terror attack. and the israeli government wants to know why 13-year-old hila s mother raya wasn t released with her daughter. the israeli official says mothers and children are not to be separated. the fragile deal also called for th
confirmation that israel has actually got the hostages yet, but the choreography well under way. let us talk to our correspondent there. we just heard helicopters flying near the air base, we are not sure if they are the ones who are going to take the hostages back to israel, but there is a great sense of anticipation here in this air base, we have been waiting for any news about the hostages coming, it was believed before that they were coming by helicopter, through the rafah crossing, and then we were told they were coming by bus from border crossing, between israel and gaza. once they arrive here, they will be looked after being a huge operation that was organised by the israeli army, they said they have made everything possible to make this first delivery, or this first batch of hostages, the delivery, to go as good as possible, because there is a great pressure within israel, the families have been desperate to see any, to hear any good news about their loved ones, and a
