the showers and thundershowers have come in. they re getting very strong, and the heaviest storms are making their way on shore as we speak. so nobody really wants to be on the beach at this point anymore, at least not towards the jacksonville beach area. this is the area we re most concerned about. we re seeing augustine kind of sandwiched between there and jacksonville. as soon as this red stuff starts making its way onto shore, we can see wind gusts getting close to hurricane strength. 70 miles per hour, so that s dangerous. we already have reports in florida and south georgia of trees coming down and some power outages, and that s going to increase before the end of the night. the storm should make landfall this evening or overnight, and it will start to curb to the northeast. so the weakening is good, but the stalling not so great, and that s the concern, because we ll likely see some flooding associated with this. in fact, we could be talking anywhere between 3 an ....
